Larry has written over 450 articles for the AA1Car.com Library of Technical Articles.
Larry has also been a long time contributor and technical editor for the Babcox Media group of professional automotive trade magazines. During his tenure with Babcox (retired May 2018), Larry authored over 3,500 diagnostic, repair and automotive technology articles for these magazines:
Larry's articles have earned thirteen writing excellence awards from the American Society of Business Press Editors (ASBPE) and two from Automotive Media Conference (APEX). He has also received awards from the Society for Technical Communications (STC) for articles and books.
Larry has written technical manuals, instructional videos and other technical articles for numerous automotive aftermarket companies including Bosch, BWD Corp., Fel-Pro, Federal-Mogul, GKN, NAPA, Raybestos and Wells Mfg.
For 20 years, Larry also wrote a monthly technical newsletter for NAPA Auto Parts called PitStop (for parts store employees) and Tech's Edge (for NAPA installer customers).
Larry created a number of Windows-based automotive training programs for CarleySoftware. These were sold direct to motorists, technicians and students from his CarleySoftware website. Software producdts were available on CDs or as downloads.
Some of these products were also distributed by B&B Electronics in conjunction with their AutoTap diagnostic software, and by Northwest Equipment Sales with their alignment machines.

Larry has been ASE certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in seven areas of automotive expertise, and worked with ASE in developing technician certification tests.
Larry is a member of Midwest Automotive Media Association (MAMA)
