These photos were taken October 11th at the 2008 Hunnert Car Pile-Up. Every vehicle that shows up for this event must drive in under its own power, and be older than 1964 with no billet aluminum parts. The cars must be true to the vintage hot rod tradition. The cars are eye-balled at the main entrance, and if they do not meet the Hunnert criteria, they don't get in.
This year's event had a record turnout with overflow parking and more cars than ever. The Hunnert Car Pile-Up is held at the Grundy County Speedway, 8890 N Rt 47 Morris, Illinois. Parking was free (a rarity these days), and admission was only $5 per person for spectators, and $20 for show cars. All profits from this event are donated to charity.
