Carmaker Drawing Program for NeoPaint
Updated for Windows 98, ME & XP

Carmaker makes it easy to draw cars...
This easy-to-use drawing program can be used with the CarMaker stamps to draw and customize
cars, trucks & vans (side view only -- sorry, but this is NOT an expensive 3D graphics program). The CarMaker stamps includes over 60 different bodies, over 30 custom wheels, & various engine parts and accessories. Body side views are predrawn which makes creating a picture super
easy. Just choose a body, add wheels and other accessories (spoilers, traction bars,
exhaust headers, side pipes, scoops, etc., then give your vehicle a paint job from
mild to wild (stripes, flames and/or lettering).

CarMaker for Neopaint Classic DOS version
This is the original CarMaker program that I created almost a decade ago. It is DOS program and will run under Windows 95, 98, ME or XP, but unfortunately the program's
video drivers will NOT work with most newer flat panel LCD monitors. To use this program, you need a traditional CRT monitor (any size) or a laptop.
The classic DOS version of CarMaker comes with a shareware copy of Neopaint 3.2D. You may have to fiddle with NeoPaint's memory settings to get it to work properly on your PC. If you get a memory error message when you open CarMaker/NeoPaint, click on the OPTIONS button at the top of the NeoPaint screen, click on SET PREFERENCES, and uncheck the box next to USE VIRTUAL MEMORY. Check the boxes next to USE EXPANDED MEMORY (EMS) and USE EXTENDED MEMORY (XMS). Click OK to save the changes, close the program then restart it.
The NeoPaint drawing program that is provided with the classic DOS version of CarMaker is shareware. You are asked to pay $40 for the program if you decide to keep and use NeoPaint after a 30-day evaluation period. The program will continue to work after 30 days whether you pay or not, but I would encourage you to pay for the shareware. The fee goes to the NeoSoftware Corporation, not me. If you decide you don't want to keep the NeoPaint shareware program, just delete it after 30 days. It costs you nothing.
The CARMAKER stamp pad graphics I created are all PCX format graphics, even though the file names all have a .ST as the name extension. By renaming the graphics files and/or converting them to another graphics format, you can use the CarMaker graphics with other paint and drawing programs, too.
