Carley's Diagnostic Trouble Code Finder provides a searchable database of thousands of engine, emissions and transmission fault codes by vehicle make. This program makes it easy to quickly look up code definitions for most makes and models of vehicles so you can know what the code number means.

NOTE: This program does NOT include ABS, airbag, climate control, suspension or body codes. It gives definitions for ENGINE and TRANSMISSION codes only.

This product is ideal if you have a basic code reader or scan tool that displays code numbers but no definitions. With a click of your mouse, you can look up what the code number means. Ideal for do-it-yourselfers and for technicians who work on a wide variety of makes & models and want to look up codes quickly.

DTC Code Finder covers 1996 and newer vehicles with OBD II as well as most older makes with OBD I. Better yet, this program even tells you how to retrive the manual flash codes on older vehicles so you don't even need a scan tool to fidn the codes.

Okay, so what do you do once you have a code and a definition? how do you fix your car or truck? DTC Code Finder also includes general diagnostic tips for common types of codes such as misfire codes, lean codes, O2 sensor codes and more.

It provides definitions for trouble codes only, and gives you procedures for pulling manual flash codes on 1995 and older pre-OBD II vehicles, and diagnostic tips for common codes. On 1996 and newer OBD II vehicles, you need a code reader or scan tool to read the code number from the vehicle. You can then use this program to find out what the code means.
